Interactive impact on OOH's busiest stage: To celebrate the occasion of ringing the NASDAQ bell, web travel giant Travelzoo wanted to stage a fun and memorable event to connect with the huge crowds of morning rush commuters and tourists that pass through Times Square. They came to EMC Events for a solution that would give the normally jaded NY audience a reason to stop, learn more about Travelzoo, and sign up for email updates about local deals. Our media solution was a Coffee Street Team. Several of our brand ambassadors were equipped with coffee backpacks to pour free cups of coffee for passing consumers. Others had cream & sugar, and branded snacks to go along with the coffee. Finally, another group was armed with WiFi tablets where consumers could sign up to receive email updates from Travelzoo, earning them a free t-shirt! Create a memorable event: While the team was busy on the street, handing out coffee and collecting emails, the bell ringing ceremony was simultaneously shown on the digital signs on the outside of the building creating a huge branded space for Travelzoo.. This campaign used a team of brand ambassadors, and a great promotional item - free coffee - to stop commuters & tourists in their tracks, get them to engage, and learn more about Travelzoo.
